Rossendale Drum Majorettes (RDM) is a volunteer-run community performing arts group and marching band based in Whitewell Bottom, Rossendale.
Established in May 2018 by Simon Creasey, the group gives members opportunities to take part in pom-pom cheerleading, baton twirling, colour guard, ceremonial mace and marching band activities.
Performing in the community
RDM performs at carnivals, community events, fairs, private events and fundraisers in Rossendale and elsewhere across North West England.
The group performs for enjoyment and community participation rather than competition. Its activities encourage members to learn new skills, develop confidence, form friendships and work together as a team.

The people behind RDM
Rossendale Drum Majorettes is supported by volunteer trainers and helpers with experience across majorette and marching-band activities.
Safeguarding, appropriate volunteer checks and first-aid arrangements form an important part of how the group operates. Further information is available on the Policies and Safeguarding page.

Thinking of joining us?
In April 2025, B&E Boys Ltd, working with Mike from the Oldham Scottish Pipe Band, donated a set of snare drums to Rossendale Drum Majorettes. The donation provided valuable new equipment for the group’s marching band.
